City Dumpster Policies

A couple simple rules tend to make life easier.  Kramer City Code sets fines for violations at the City Dumpsters and City Burn Pit.

  1. Break your boxes down flat.  This makes more space for other people to use.
  2. No bulky household appliances permitted (washer, dryer, stove, refrigerator, freezer, water heater, furnace, or dishwasher).
  3. No parts from any vehicle, tractor, farm equipment.
  4. Metal, drywall, concrete, bricks, dirt or rocks are not acceptable.
  5. No paint, batteries, tires, oils, chemicals, combustible material or any items identified as hazardous.
  6. No yard waste.  This can be taken to the City Burn Pit.
  7. Game (Geese, ducks, deer, etc.) must be in sealed plastic bags.  Hunters should dress game in the field.  Game refuse must be placed in the 8-yard dumpster south of the Kramer Post Office adjacent to the Mouse River Outfitters, NOT is the resident 8-yard dumpster.

City PBS Inert Waste Landfill

Only BURNABLE WOOD is permitted at the site.  Wood includes branches, downed trees, construction lumber with no other waste material attached.

THE INERT LANDFILL MUST BE REMAINED LOCKED UNLESS YOU ARE AT THE SITE UNLOADING. YOU CAN OBTAIN A KEY TO UNLOCK THE SITE FROM A MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL OR FROM THE CORK N BOTTLE UPON REQUEST.   WE ARE RANDOMLY INSPECTED BY THE STATE AND VIOLATIONS CAN PUT THE SITE AT RISK OF CLOSURE.  OBEY THE RULES.

Kramer City Council
Position Statement

City council meetings are essential for discussing and addressing local issues that affect the community. During these meetings, council members review reports, propose new regulations, and make decisions that impact the community.  Effective meetings are crucial for transparency and ensuring that all critical issues are addressed.  While the Kramer City Council has an open the door to attendance of the community, those individuals present must be respectful and maintain order. The monthly city council meeting is not a forum for public discussion until the council opens the floor for public discussion.  Disruption or rude behavior, and alcohol is not permitted. The meeting Agenda is posted in the city post office so the citizens of Kramer will know in advance what is going to be discussed.  To continually disrupt the council, deliberately attempt stop or stall the council from attending to the agenda, or to block or prevent one person from performing their duties is against all decent protocol and can result in the expulsion of the individual.  In closure, the Kramer City Council will offer an Open Public Session after the objectives of the agenda have been achieved or moved forward.  The Open Public Session will serve as the time where citizens can address the council in a calm, well-mannered, public engagement.  Again, the Open Public Session is not a forum for disruption or rude behavior.  In the future cursing and/or threatening language will result in the council asking the individual to leave the meeting. Under no circumstance is alcohol permitted, and participants that arrive inebriated, will be asked to leave.
