We tried to get a four yard dumpster for the bar, planned on keeping the fee the same, and with what he hoped would be a reduced fee, let them lock the dumpster for their use. But Circle made the most crazy deal when they took over. Here is what we were told:
"As I was working on getting the rate for the 4yd, things looked a little weird from how we normally do our rates, so I talked to Dan who has been the one to work on this contract. He said that when we took over from Geving Sanitation back in 2007 the bar always had a 6yd dumpster, but it was estimated that they only used about a 4yd dumpsters worth, so the price was based on the volume used rather than the size of the dumpster. This is not how we usually do it, but it is how it was being done by the previous hauler, so we continued to do it that way. So, if they go down to a 4yd with lid locks the rate would not change. I am not sure how busy they are, so if they started with a 4yd but find that it is too much we can always drop down to a 3yd."
We wanted a win-win, something for both city and the bar. But in short, we are already paying the price for a 4-yard dumpster: $1,620.00 and in 2027 it will be $1,728.00.
